Following the successful completion of a Research into Teaching and Learning module and a school-based research project. The Mathematics with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) degree is delivered at Loughborough University .

- The structure of the Mathematics with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) programme from Loughborough University has been uniquely designed to allow you to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and then progress to complete the master's degree on a part-time basis during your early years of teaching.
- Following completion of your PGCE year, if you are eligible and you decide to progress with master's study, you can enrol onto a Research in Education module. This module is worth 30 credits and is completed online during the summer.
- Students who are eligible ‘may progress onto the MSc at the end of the same academic year, or within (but no longer than) 5 years of graduating from the Postgraduate Certificate in Education programme. You will then enrol onto the final module which involves carrying out a research project relevant to your specialist subject of mathematics and the school/educational context.
- This is a distance learning module and involves one-to-one supervision with internationally renowned researchers or experts in the field. Upon successful completion of this second module, you will be awarded an MSc Education.
