Overview
The Mechanical Engineering MSc programme from Università degli Studi della Tuscia is structured on three levels:
- Training in the subjects specific for the Mechanical engineering;
- Acquisition of skills which complete the professional figure by means of exams in the field of energy (e.g. hydrogen and nuclear fusion), materials, new production technologies and environment;
- Development of relevant design activities.
Career opportunities:
The acquired skills allow to earn responsibility positions in different sectors such as design, production, installation and testing, management and maintenance of machinery, industrial and IT services, energy management, technical management, logistics and marketing.
Programme Structure
Curriculum includes:
- an education in the fields that characterize mechanical engineering oriented toward in-depth methodological and conceptual study of engineering subjects whose foundations were formed during the bachelor’s degree program;
- In particular, two alternative paths of high specialization are provided:
- Manufacturing & Design: aimed at the design, manufacture and monitoring of both individual mechanical components and industrial machinery and plants using advanced design and analysis methods such as FEM, CFD and CAD.
- Energy: aimed at providing the necessary tools to understand and analyze classical and innovative energy conversion systems, such as nuclear fusion and hydrogen-based systems, with a focus on issues related to the design of energy storage and transport systems and methods.
