Overview

At Communications and Networking from Brno University of Technology graduates will be able to work with user interfaces, use parallel processes in operation systems and ensure security of information systems. Depending on their individual choice, students will be thoroughly acquainted with digital methods of processing and transmission of speech, sound and image signals. They will be introduced to the design and realization of computer networks, database systems and distributed applications so as diverse information technologies. In order to improve the students’ understanding of theory, courses within theoretical extension in higher Mathematics are provided. Students can also choose technical courses from the programme MPA-TEC Telecommunications provided by the Department of Radio Electronics (UREL), English for Enginneers and management courses from the Faculty of Business and Management.

Careers

The graduate will possess detailed knowledge in the field of communication and networking technologies. He is both well-provided with theoretical knowledge of communication and information systems and familiar with their design, the electronic design itself, applications, services, smart systems, Internet of Things IoT, surveillance and measuring systems. The spectrum of his theoretical and practical knowledge embraces properties of transmitted multimedia signals and data, their processing and subsequent technical realization of communication and information systems. He is familiar with the structure and provision of various services in mobile and fixed communication and computer networks.
