Masters's program in Quantitative Molecular Biology from Humboldt University Berlin has a particular focus lies on the quantitative analysis of molecules and cells aided by mathematical and theoretical concepts.

Within the first year of the program, Quantitative Molecular Biology students from Humboldt University Berlin attend several compulsory and elective modules that advance their competencies in the fields of Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Plant Sciences, Infection biology, Cell biology and Immunology. The second year is research-oriented, including a study project and the final Master Thesis.

During the first year, students attend three compulsory modules ('Molecular Biology', 'Quantitative Molecular Biology' and 'Scientific English for Publications and Presentations') and two elective modules out of four modules offered.

In the research-oriented second year, students conduct a study project and proceed to the final module, the Master Thesis.

Prospective students require a first academic degree obtained in a course of study with a minimum length of three years in a biological field; usually, a bachelor's degree of at least 180 ECTS credits or equivalent.
All of the following academic requirements must be met by the applicants to be admitted to this consecutive program. To prove the former, applicants are required to complete the Self-Assessment form.
Additional credits, such as specific knowledge in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry and Biophysics, Microbiology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics and Bioinformatics, serve as selection criteria and can improve the position in the ranking.
