Overview
Through multidisciplinary education and practices in the design and management of smart cities and city resilience, the Sustainable Environmental Design programme from The University of Hong Kong will enhance students' understanding of the complexity of the challenges in achieving urban sustainability and environmental resiliency, while broadening their appreciation of the possibilities and constraints in design, technology, management and strategic policy at multiple scales.
Curriculum structure
The curriculum comprises 6 core courses (36 credits), 2 capstone dissertation courses (12 credits) and 2 elective courses (12 credits), leading to a 1-year full-time and 2-year part-time study (totaling 60 credits).Programme Structure

General requirements
The applicant shall possess:
- a bachelor's degree with honours in architecture, engineering, surveying, environmental science, geography, or related fields of this University; or
- an equivalent qualification from another university or comparable institution accepted for this purpose;
- preferably, a professional qualification in the architecture, building engineering, surveying or related fields; and
- pass the qualifying examination, if required.
- Applicants whose first degree was not taught in English need to demonstrate competency in the English language in accordance with the General Regulations.
