Overview
Economics of Tourism - Monitoring and Evaluation from University of the Balearic Islands has been conceived as an advanced education program in the field of applied economics offering high-quality training in academic and professional research, providing analytical and quantitative tools to address today’s economic challenges to tourism economies. The programme rigorously integrates theoretical knowledge and its application to the economic problems commonly faced by those economies.
Monitoring and evaluation of projects and policies in tourism economies
METME aims to train specialists in economic analysis applied to the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of projects and policies in the context of tourism economies. M&E is a powerful public management tool that can be used to improve the way governments and organizations achieve results. The master will help students to develop skills and competences in M&E to improve the competiveness and sustainability of tourism economies. Graduates will acquire knowledge of cutting-edge techniques in M&E by choosing one of the two available specializations: (i) Monitoring techniques applied to tourism or (ii) Evaluation techniques applied to tourism.

- The equivalent to an Honours Bachelor's degree from a Spanish higher-education institution or
- The equivalent to an Honours Bachelor's degree from a higher-education institution within the European Higher Education Area, valid for admission at the master's level in the country issuing the degree or
- The equivalent to an Honours Bachelor's degree from a higher-education institution outside the European Higher Education Area.
- Since English is the official language of the program, a high level of knowledge of written and spoken English is required.As a general rule, the following minimum scores are required:
- TOEFL (iBT): 72 - 94
- IELTS: 5.5 - 6.5
- Cambridge ESOL: Certificate of English (FCE)
- Common European Framework (Languages): Level B2
