Overview

Students have a choice to study in one of three applied tracks: International Economics and Finance; Health Economics and Health Care Management; or Labor Economics. The program emphasizes the development of data analysis and policy evaluation skills that are in demand in today’s labor market, particularly in business, healthcare, and the public sector.

Students gain a solid foundation in economic thinking and data analysis methods. In addition, students choose one of three study tracks to gain in-depth knowledge. The tracks in International Economics and Finance, Health Economics and Health Care Management, and Labor Economics prepare students for fulfilling work in the respective fields. Students not only graduate with an M.A. in Applied Economics, they also earn a certificate of completion in the their chosen field of study.

The MAAE is an international program taught entirely in English by Chulalongkorn University faculty, experts from industry, and scholars from renowned universities in Thailand and abroad.
