Overview
Since all classes within the framework of Finance and Accounting studies from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun are conducted in English, graduates can immediately take up work in entities operating globally and build their professional position at the leading employers in the world. Moreover, the Faculty has an international AACSB accreditation, which certifies a high level of teaching.
Studies in the field of Finance and Accounting, conducted exclusively in English, contain the unique proposition, available in a very narrow group of selected universities in Poland. In the NCU offer, students will have a choice of 2 specialties: Corporate finance and accounting or Financial markets and institutions.
Program Learning Outcomes
After Corporate finance and accounting graduates are able to:
- conduct analysis and evaluate the financial performance of international entities;
- manage financial accounts;
- characterize the risk factors of financial activities within international companies;
- evaluate and prepare financing strategies for business entities;
- manage prices of products and services
After Financial markets and institutions graduates are able to:
- identify and characterize the principles of operation within banks, investment companies, and insurance companies on an international scale;
- identify and assess the legal conditions of banking, investment, insurance, and fintech activities;
- assess the types of risks presented in banks, investment entities, insurance companies, or payment institutions;
- characterize pension institutions and instruments;
- use financial and non-financial instruments in financial risk management;
- make effective investment decisions;
- assess the effectiveness of financial institutions;
- determine trends and direction of development in the financial sector on an international scale.
