Overview
This programme is for those who have a Bachelor’s degree in library and information science, information architecture, archival science, digital humanities, informatics, systems science or related fields.
In the programme, you develop your knowledge in the theories and methods of information science. By learning how to handle digital data, from image to text, and to evaluate data structures that transform data into information, theories translate into practice. During your final year, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge in a larger context, from a focus on individual users to the significance of digitalisation for organisations and for a democratic society.
Courses
The programme will include courses in datalogical thinking, research methods, multimodality, open data as an arena for information creation, data strategies for organisations, and critical perspectives on a society steeped in data.
Full time, no obligatory attendenceThis programme is full-time, mostly remote (with only a few meetings in Borås, which are not compulsory) and is given in English. You will study with students from all over the world.
