Overview

At Modern Materials, Design and Application at AGH University of Science & Technology during the last semester, the student carries out a master's thesis (20 ECTS), realizes the two elective courses, and a diploma seminar. Courses in humanistic and social sciences will be conducted for a total of 5 ECTS during the first and second term. Generally, throughout the cycle, the student may choose courses for a total of 26 ECTS.

Mission

The range of learning in the second-cycle studies includes courses on fundamentals on non-ferrous metals science and metals engineering, production and properties of composite materials, nanomaterials, powders, light alloys, and biomaterials, as well as modelling of structure and strength of plastically deformed materials and innovative processes of non-ferrous metals and modern surface engineering.
