Overview
With The Sustainable Energy Technology programme offered by University of Twente (UT) you will gain in-depth expertise within the field of energy technology, while supplementing it with the broader knowledge and skills needed to achieve real change in our societies’ energy systems. In this engineering programme, you will develop skills in the field of energy generation, distribution, and storage, and work with advanced technologies such as smart grids, power electronics, and semiconductor-based energy devices. This will help you to become a real energy system integrator, able to implement renewable energy technologies in current or new energy networks.
Careers
The demand for experts in the field of Sustainable Energy Technology is particularly high and urgent as the use of fossil fuels affects climate change tremendously and these resources will, moreover, slowly run out. That is why graduates of this Master’s find exciting jobs shortly after graduating.
Given the broad perspective you develop in this Master’s, you will have several career opportunities in the energy or sustainability arena. Whether you want to focus on the research and development of a new type of technology, become an integrator and focus on the actual implementation of a sustainable energy system or start a career in consultancy, this Master’s offers excellent career opportunities. We have graduates working for a wide range of (international) employers, but also innovative green companies, such as Veolia, Mecal, Energy-Watch, Pure Energie, Opra Turbines and Suzlon Blade Technology, to name just a few of the many options.
