Overview
Astrophysics and Space Science at Tor Vergata University of Rome is one of the most rapidly evolving scientific fields and, as a matter of fact, our current days are often defined as the “Golden Age of Astrophisics”. Recent discoveries have significantly improved our knowledge in many different areas: solar and stellar physics, extragalactic astrophysics, observational cosmology, physics of gravitation.
The curriculum in Astrophysics is designed to provide students with a strong background and competences as well as training them to enhance their capabilities in inter-sectorial areas (modelling, problem solving, high performance computing, big data handling, new technologies development). The research groups have collaborations with top-level Italian and international institutions and important participations in organisations.
