Key features

The new Master of Public Health (Humanitarian Health) programme at the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine will provide you with the knowledge and professional skills you need to take a leadership role and further develop your public health career in a wide range of local, national, or international settings.

You will mix with and learn from staff who have vast experience and have worked in international public health for many years. You will develop your individual research skills, by undertaking a project in an area of public health of interest to you, guided and mentored by one of our key experts.
This new MPH Programme is for those who want to make a difference, tackle some of the most important public health issues of the day and have a lasting impact on the health of the populations they work with.

General requirements

Open to health professionals and graduates in health or related disciplines. In addition, candidates with qualifications such as law, psychology, education, social work/care, finance, business management, engineering, philosophy, anthropology, sociology, history, architecture and politics/international relations are welcome, particularly if they have relevant health related experience.
Non-graduates with considerable work experience in the health sector of low or middle-income countries and evidence of continued academic development through appropriate in-service training will also be considered.
Medical students who have completed at least three years of study and wish to intercalate are also accepted onto the programmme.
