Overview
The Master in Materials Engineering aims to educate graduates for professional careers in any area of Materials Engineering.
To achieve this objective, Master in Materials Engineering provides advanced education in materials engineering, treating the complete life cycle of materials, with two specialisations: a more generalised education in materials and another in metallurgy.
The Master's Degree in Materials Engineering (M.EMAT) is offered by Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto .

- Holders of a Bachelor's degree or legal equivalent in the area of Bioengineering or similar area deemed appropriate by the Scientific Committee of the Cycle of Studies;
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree in the area of Bioengineering or a similar area deemed appropriate by the Scientific Committee of the Cycle of Studies conferred following a first cycle of studies organized according to the principles of the Bologna Process by a country adhering to this process;
- Holders of a foreign higher academic degree in the area of Bioengineering or a similar area considered appropriate by the Scientific Committee of the Cycle of Studies with a minimum duration of 3 academic years;
- Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum in the area of Bioengineering or a similar area deemed appropriate by the Scientific Committee of the Cycle of Studies
