About the program

The MSc Spec. Molecular Biology programme at Maria Curie-Sklodowska University ensures students gain an opportunity to acquire deeper knowledge and skills in the area of biomolecular and biomedical sciences as well as biotechnology through undertaking both compulsory and elective courses. The core obligatory courses include, among others, advanced molecular biology, molecular microbiology, biochemistry, regulation of cellular processes, bioinformatics, synthetic biology, innovations in environmental microbiology and sustainable development, or molecular biology in entrepreneurship. The vast advantage of our innovative programme is a high number of elective courses, which can be chosen by students according to their interest. They include some complementary courses extending the basic or specialistic knowledge in the area of advanced genetics, proteomics and molecular modelling, as well as theme modules, providing specialisation in molecular biology for medicine or for environment and industry.

General requirements

The program is addressed to candidates holding a Bachelor’s degree (Together with transcript of records) or any other equivalent degree which grants a direct access to Master’s degree programme in the country where the document was issued.
The admission is granted upon fulfilment of the following conditions:
Submitting the full set of required documents (in a scanned form).
Successfully completing an interview undertaken in English (which aims to evaluate applicants’ scope of interest in the chosen field of study).
Personal questionnaire generated by the Online Registration System (after admission).
Confirmation that the applicant has a fluent command of English language
Original/duplicate certificate of: secondary/higher secondary education together with the transcript of records
Medical certificate (clean bill of health)
A copy of a passport Bio page
One current ID card-style 35×45 mm photographs.
Confirmation of registration fee payment.
