Overview
The Master’s Programme in Music is aimed at students seeking a professional and solid foundation for future careers as professional musicians in various artistic contexts. The programme is designed around a professional perspective with a basis in a high artistic level.
At Ingesund Music School, part of Karlstad University, we offer a calm, scenic environment with considerable access to practice rooms, as well as plenty of recording opportunities.
In close collaboration with our three professors of voice, piano and string instruments, you will have great opportunities to develop as a musician, gain deeper artistic knowledge and specialise your craft and your profile.
You will also have the opportunity to play in both large and small ensembles such as string orchestras, symphonic orchestras, brass orchestras, vocal ensembles and choirs. Together, we build up your personal brand and profile as an international performer.
The master’s programme in music prepares you for the possibility of, after completing the programme, applying for postgraduate studies in the subject of musical performance.
