Overview

For  Beihang University - Statistics students at the beginning of first semester, we have various activities such as the outdoor quality promotion, career navigation, communication with postgraduate mentors and treasure-oriented exploration.

Quantitative Economics and Business Statistics

The Department of Quantitative Economics and Business Statistics was established in 2004 on the basis of the Department of Insurance and Risk Management. It will take the advantage of insurance and risk management, keep the research advantage in finance risk management and actuarial science, and continue to improve the strengths of the complex data analysis, in order to establish and develop the subject of quantitive economics and business statistics.

Now there are nine full-time faculty members, including three professors (three doctoral supervisors), five associate professors, and one assistant professor. All of them have overseas education backgrounds or international cooperation experiences. Moreover, there is one Winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Youth Scholars, and one person was supported by the Talent Supporting program in New Age by the Ministry of Education. And one doctoral dissertation has been awarded National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation by Ministry of Education.
