The aim of the two-year Masters study programme in Molecular Biomedicine at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf is to train a new generation of biomedical scientists with an excellent education in an interdisciplinary environment.

With a profound understanding of the molecular function and dysfunction of cells, tissues and organs, new insights into disease mechanisms and their diagnosis are being sought.
The curriculum is inherently interdisciplinary and our faculty members are established in the research of human diseases within the framework of basic research. Students from various Bachelor programmes meet a comprehensive and integrated curriculum in molecular, biological and medical life sciences. This includes a wide range of courses in clinical and theoretical medicine, biology & biochemistry as well as a broad method spectrum.

- Relevant Bachelor’s degree (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biomedicine)
- Transcript with all coursework, exams, credit points, and final grade
- If incomplete degree: interim transcript with ≥80% credits (min. 144 CP) and average grade ≤2.50
- Non-EU citizens: preliminary examination documentation (VPD) from uni-assist
- Module descriptions for cell & molecular biology (≥7 CP)
- Module descriptions for biochemistry and/or physiology (≥13 CP)
- German language certificate (exempt if German native or studied at German-speaking institution)
- English language certificate showing CEFR B2 level or higher, e.g., DAAD B2, TOEFL (90 iBT), IELTS (6.0), or 5 years of English schooling in Germany
