Our comprehensive graduate programs lead to the MA, MMus, PhD, and DMA degrees in five fields of graduate studies in music, and include a collaborative graduate specialization in music cognition:

MMus Composition

The Master’s of Music (MMus) in Composition allows students to continue to nurture their creative voice in a supportive and vibrant community rich with performance opportunities.

MMus Music Education

The Master's in Music Education at Western provides opportunities for music education professionals working in classrooms, studios, or community spaces to develop their professional knowledge. The program provides music educators with access to innovative ideas and practices, helping them to become leaders in the profession.

MMus Performance

The Master of Music (MMus), Performance degree program offers a wide variety of Western Art Music genres and styles. The program provides exceptional artistic and academic experiences delivered by world-class faculty in outstanding facilities in the heart of Western University.
