Overview
The Master in Environmental Management of Mountain Areas at Free University of Bozen-Bolzano is highly interdisciplinary and it is offered in cooperation with the University of Innsbruck (Austria). Both universities contribute their expertise in an integrative way to ecological, engineering and socio-economic perspectives of mountain landscape management.
The programme takes advantage of the particular location of the partner universities in the Central Alps and includes both student and teacher mobility between the two countries. Courses will be taught by lecturers from both universities.

General requirements
In order to gain admission to this programme you need one of the following qualifications
- a bachelor degree in the Italian degree class L-25 (Agriculture and Forestry) ex D.M. 270/2004 or equivalent qualification gained abroad
- a bachelor degree in the Italian degree class 20 (Agriculture, Food Industry and Forestry) ex D.M. 509/1999 or equivalent qualification gained abroad
- a bachelor degree in biology of the partner University Innsbruck
- another Italian or foreign degree if you certify the following ECTS credit points:
- 20 credit points in the scientific sectors of the fundamental subjects (“attività di base”) of the class L-25 (Agriculture and Forestry), and
- 30 credit points in the scientific sectors of the typical subjects (“attività caratterizzanti”) of the class L-25 (Agriculture and Forestry), related at least to two different subject areas.
