The curriculum comprises a homogenization phase within the first two semesters, including lectures, laboratory practicals, and seminars.

Our faculty is unique in its diversity and this Chemical Sciences at the University of Stuttgart program aims to develop students' conceptual and analytical skills, as well as introducing them to the targeted execution of research projects.
The specialization phase in our four research profiles takes place during the second and third semester:
- Sustainable Synthesis and Catalysis
- Smart Materials and Functional Molecules
- Biological Chemistry and Biotechnology
- Theory and Simulation in Chemistry and Materials Sciences
as well as two freely selectable research internships in cutting-edge research topics. Students write their Master's thesis in the fourth semester
