Programme Structure
Courses include:
- The Master’s degree program in Public and International Economics comprises a total of 120 credit points distributed across 4 semesters.
- The first semester provides fundamental methodological and contextual knowledge comprising 30 credit points.
- In the second and third semesters, you can choose from a broad selection of current issues in economic policy within an international context, from the social welfare state to fiscal matters and international financial markets to immigration and development economics. From this core content, you must choose at least 35 credit points. Then, at least another 10 credit points will come from interactive teaching formats such as seminars and projects. Topics from neighboring disciplines are available to round off the courses available to you.

- Suitable candidates:
- have concluded a Bachelor's degree in Economic sciences with a major in Economics at TU Dresden
- or a university degree recognised as being equivalent for which at least 90% of achievements have been acquired at a state-recognised university and
- an prove the acquisition of at least 33 credits (ECTS) of not intersecting content from the area of Economics and of at least 30 credits (ECTS) from the following course catalogue:
- other areas of economic sciences (especially business administration, economic geography, economic history and business informatics) of at least 15 credit points (ECTS) of not intersecting content,
- mathematics, statistics, and quantitative/qualitative procedures of at least 15 credits (ECTS) of not intersecting content.
