Overview
The first year provides a solid foundation in chemistry in connection with these related topics. The teaching is supported by the IP Paris research laboratories, all renowned for their cutting-edge expertise in chemistry, including molecular chemistry, physical chemistry, and material sciences.
The second year allows specialization in two key areas:
- Molecular Chemistry, focusing on organometallic chemistry and catalysis, supramolecular chemistry, synthetic chemistry and chemical biology, or chemistry for optoelectronics;
- Materials Chemistry, focusing on the design of materials for the design of materials for energy, transport, electronics, medicine, nanotechnologies, and health.
This programme aims to enable students to:
Develop expertise in chemistry and gain a deep understanding of contemporary scientific challenges;
Immerse themselves in a research laboratory environment.
Career Opportunities
- R&D engineer in science-driven industries
- Researcher in academia or public research institutes
- Entrepreneur in technology and innovation
- University or secondary school teacher
For students who wish to pursue a PhD after their master’s degree, the program is affliated with two distinct PhD track programs: one in Advanced Materials and the other in Chemistry and Interfaces for early research immersion. These PhD track programs offer excellence scholarships and registration fee waivers.
