This Research Methods in Human Cognitive Neuroscience Psychology postgraduate degree at the University of Leicester will provide you with advanced training in research methods in human cognitive neuroscience, equipping you with the research and professional skills required for a research career. The School of Psychology and Vision Sciences has particular research strengths in:

Cognitive and behavioural sciences
Perception and sensory processing
Health and psychological wellbeing, including ageing
You will be encouraged to undertake a research project in one of these areas.

Teaching and learning

All teaching is seminar based, or in one-to-one tutorial and research supervision sessions, with continuous assessment in the form of a research protocol, oral and poster presentations, and in the development of portfolios of assessed activities. You will write a thesis on original empirical research, which will involve an oral exam (viva).
