Overview
Overview
The study of the Bible in its literary and linguistic diversity is part of the basic theological and cultural-historical education.
Next to subject-related modules focusing on the analysis and interpretation of the original language texts of the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, with consideration of the literary and reception history of these writings, students can choose an interdisciplinary module to expand historical knowledge or deepen their understanding of the current reception of biblical topics.
Students in the Biblical Studies program at University of Bonn are enabled to independently analyze, interpret, and contextualize biblical texts and related literature as well as themes and traditions of different theological approaches. In addition, they will develop intercultural skills and the ability to participate in an international academic discourse.
