Key Features
The Master in Civil Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa provides the necessary training for a career in Civil Engineering. Our graduates will be able to plan, design, build, rehabilitate, manage or audit public and private constructions, such as buildings, bridges, tunnels, foundations, roads, railways, ports, airports, dams and other hydraulic works, or even intervene in areas such as land use planning, civil protection and the development of construction products.
The student can opt for a personalized course structure or a specialization in construction, structures, or geotechnics. The speciality contents have a rigorous and up-to-date approach, so that the students can acquire the necessary skills that will allow them to successfully pursue a career in civil engineering. In addition to the strong training in Civil Engineering topics, the MEC of FCT NOVA includes complementary cross-training (entrepreneurship and soft-skills). The completion of the dissertation allows the expansion of skills in the area of speciality but also in terms of personal skills such as autonomy, ethics and communication.

- Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as attesting the capacity to accomplish referred cycle of studies by the Scientific Council of the Civil Engineering Board.
