This person is a master of the future who is constantly moving, researching and finding the golden thread between politics, economics, technology, art, music, and, of course, fashion.

Trend Forecasters could be considered the fortune-tellers of fashion, arousing desire with new concepts of communication and product in an almost spiritual way.

The Master in Fashion Trend Forecasting from Polimoda dives into four main areas: Research, the analysis of data and phenomena; Link, the personal associations, inspirations and moods; Concept, the formulation of trends, counter-trends and sub-trends and Release, the application to product development, strategic marketing and communication purposes with presentation materials.

This intensive specialization program is run by resident teachers from the industry and includes international guest lecturers, workshops in Paris or London as well as field trips to the Pitti trade fairs in Florence and Milan Fashion Week. In collaboration with Li Edelkoort’s Trend Union, two main projects can be used as a high-quality personal portfolio. Internship opportunities are provided.

Lessons amount to a total of 700 contact hours and the overall obtainment of 80 credits.

Careers

Graduates can become Trend Forecasters within a company, a magazine, an agency or a retail environment. This position requires an independent character, a multidisciplinary approach, the curiosity to process primary and secondary sources, the ability to present in public and the enthusiasm to be contemporary and continuously ahead of the market.

This course is completed with the possibility of an internship in a fashion company.
