Overview
Particular attention is paid to sustainability through renewable and alternative energy sources, storage systems, high-efficiency conversion and control. Training is also focused on how to make an easy transition to electric mobility.
Strong emphasis is placed on core disciplines such as electrotechnics, electrical systems, electrical machines, electrical measurements, prior to upgrading students’ skills with any significant elements of international engagement.
Students will develop plenty of knowledge about electrical engineering, machine operations and electrical systems, in addition to how electrical systems for energy operate along with electrical engineering equipment, planning, electronic and lab instrumentation, electronic power and industrial automation.
Educational Goals
Postgraduates in Electrical Engineering for Sustainable Green Energy Transition program at University of Catania must be able to:
- formulate mathematical models involving production components and/or processes;
