As a part of the program students study state-of-the-art technologies in the areas of advanced composite materials, additive manufacturing, thermal spray coatings, and novel information technologies for simulation-driven product development, digital prototyping, detailed understanding and analysis of engineering/physical systems, processes, advanced materials and technological processes.
Tracks
Materials Technologies
- The track focuses on scientific fundamentals and state-of-the-art technologies in the areas of advanced composite materials, additive manufacturing, and thermal spray coatings. Our graduates design and test materials, and apply them in large-scale industries
Simulation-based Engineering Sciences
- The track provides students with scientific and mathematical basis for computer modeling and simulation, digital prototyping, and analysis of engineered systems and processes related to advanced materials and manufacturing technologies
Future Career
- Industry: Landing specialist positions in high-tech sectors, including but not limited to, advanced manufacturing and materials, aerospace, energy and transportation, research and development, and consulting
- Science: Landing PhD positions and continuing research at leading Russian and international research entities
- Startup: Starting a business on their own or through the Skolkovo innovation ecosystem with its extensive pool of experts, partners, consultants and investors.

- Relevant Bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent in engineering, technology, technical sciences, mathematical, or natural sciences.

- A motivation letter (Statement of Purpose).
- A resume (CV) detailing your education, work experience, and research activities.
- Two letters of recommendation from professors or employers relevant to your chosen program. Letters must be in English and include the recommender’s contact details (phone and/or email). Please attach copies of the originals along with the English translation if needed. Notarization is not required.
- If available: Official English test scores (e.g., TOEFL, Duolingo English Test, “Lingvotest” testing system) — unless English is the only official language of your country of citizenship.
