Dalhousie University 's Juris Doctor/Master of Health Administration in Health Administration combined with JD programme is a collaborative effort between the Schulich School of Law and the School of Health Administration.
The only programme of its kind in Canada, it offers an unparalleled opportunity to gain both a law degree and a health administration degree on an accelerated pathway. Delving into the legal complexities of Canadian health care from both perspectives will hone your skills and open doors. Through four years of intensive and rewarding study, you will complete the requirements for both degrees—and emerge with valuable and much-needed expertise.
Graduates of the JD/MHA programme have successful careers in private practice, public and private sector policy development, as general counsel for health facilities, and as executive leaders in health organizations.

General requirements
- A 4-year bachelor's degree (honours or equivalent) with a minimum B+ average (3.3 GPA). A background in health care and/or a clinical setting is not required. International transcripts will be converted to the Dalhousie equivalent to determine eligibility.
- Proficiency in quantitative reasoning. This is demonstrated through an undergraduate or graduate statistics course from a recognized university, (A- or Above) or equivalent performance on the applicable GRE, GMAT or MCAT sections. If taking the GMAT, a GMAT Focus score of 515 or above is required. Applicants for the JD/MHA may rely upon their LSAT score - see the JD/MHA page for details.
