The Government program of Reichman University aims to develop students to shape the future of society, become tomorrow’s leaders and resolve today’s local and international conflicts.
Program Highlights
- Network with leaders, policymakers, and students from eighty-six countries around the world.
- Develop unique skills via a wide variety of intensive workshops hosted by top experts from different fields: negotiations; public speaking; decision making; post-conflict peace building; mediation; and international intervention.
- Opportunities to intern in two of the most highly regarded research institutes in the world located at Reichman University: the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT); and the Institute for Policy and Strategy (IPS) which organizes seminars, workshops and forums, including the prestigious annual Herzliya Conference.
- Intern in research programs such as political psychology, applied decision analysis, and governmental reform.
- Apply for internships available in Israel at NGOs, research institutes and selected government ministries.
- Join field trips to peacekeeping forces (UNDOF, UNIFIL).
- Meet with practitioners, heads of state, foreign ministers, negotiators, journalists, etc.

General requirements
- BA degree in Social Sciences (Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy, Public Administration)
- Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or 80% and above. For the Research Track and Specialization with Thesis a GPA of 88% is required
- Prerequisite courses may be required (additional costs required)
- Graduates of schools in which English was not the primary language of instruction are required to pass the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or an equivalent test, such as the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) or the Israel Psychometric Examination.
- Official transcripts of previous academic studies.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Two letters of recommendation
- Personal Statement: one page explaining applicant’s background, interest in the program and aspirations.
- Thesis applicants need to submit a 10-15 page writing sample
- Copy of passport or identity card
