Overview
Develop your knowledge of the female body. You will explore exercise before, during and after pregnancy. You will also learn about the effects of aging on both the active female and the female athlete.
You'll gain the skills to assess active females and female athletes at all stages of life. You will learn how to design effective development programmes tailored to their needs. Musculoskeletal management is also a key focus of the course.
Career
There is an uptake of women in sport at all levels. This Exercise Medicine for Female Health programme from The University of Lancashire provides a wealth of opportunity where expert support needed. - Applicants admitted onto the course will meet the following requirements
- Must have completed relevant professional qualification for example in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy/ Rehabilitation, Sports Science or Strength & Conditioning
- Be actively engaged in or willing to access clinical experience in order to support learning within the programme
- Have sufficient competency in English language (IELTS Level 6.0 or equivalent)
- Completion of Academic Integrity Essentials (AIE) module on first module undertaken
