General requirements
Academic Requirements
- International students are required to hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree or a 2-year diploma.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Degree within last five years, Must include courses in Python and SQL
OR
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Stats, Physics or related degree AND minimum 1 year of work experience within the last five years using Python and SQL.
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Degree within last five years, Must include courses in Python and SQL
- A Higher National Diploma from Nigeria and Ghana are exception
- If a higher degree is attained (post-graduate diploma, Master’s, or PhD) the minimum GPA or Percentage must be attained in all degrees.
- In lieu of a degree/diploma; significant work experience involving analysis of data in an organizational or applied research context may be considered on an exceptional basis. Programming knowledge is strongly recommended .
Work experience
- If applicant has completed an IT degree, with courses including Python, JSON, SQL, within the last two years, no work experience is required.
- For other applicants, a Bachelor’s degree is required AND minimum 1 year of work experience within the last five years using Python and SQL.
- If holding a 2-year Diploma: A min of 2 years of work experience (internship placements or practicum will be counted).
Technological requirements
- If IT degree (with Python courses) – no work experience required
- If no IT degree nor IT diploma – 1 year experience (with Python)
