If you’ve completed the Senior Leader Apprenticeship (Educational Leadership) and want to achieve a full master’s degree, this flexible online top-up is the next step.

Complete a 15,000-word research dissertation focused on a topic that matters to you and your practice. Designed to be studied remotely and flexibly alongside your work, this top-up allows you to sharpen your leadership insight and contribute to real-world educational improvement.

We recognise that you'll probably be juggling more demands when you do your Master's degree, as you may be working or you may have family responsibilities.

We'll give you as much indication here as we can of how much time you'll need to spend in on-campus or in online lectures and seminars and how many hours you can expect to spend in self-directed study, but please note that these indications are always subject to change.

You’ll spend around 7 hours a week on scheduled learning activities, whilst the rest of your time will be spent on independent research, developing your research project.

As a distance learner, you'll access a range of flexible online resources through Moodle, as well as 1:1 support from your supervisor when it comes to your final project.
