Key facts

The Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering started a two year M.Tech Biotechnology degree in 2008. Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati's programme is designed with equal emphasis on both classroom lectures and laboratory training with modern equipments. A large fraction of M. Master’s degree in Science or four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or five and half year Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) or five year Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or five and half year Bachelor of Veterinary Science (B.V.Sc) or two year Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc), with biology or related subjects as one of the papers at the 10+2 level or later.
