Overview

The MSc in Web Science from British University in Egypt produces graduates with a high level of competency in understanding, applying, and enunciating the latest and modern concepts, principles, methods, and theories necessary for multidisciplinary academic and applied research; and able to meet the needs of business and industry in Egypt, the Middle East, Europe, and the rest of the world.

The degree programme comprises two stages:

1. In the first two semesters (to a maximum of three semesters) students study 8 modules (24 credit hours (Egypt), equivalent to 120 credits (UK)) comprising 4 core modules and 4 optional modules.

2. Then, on successful completion of the modules (with a GPA of 2.7 or more), students undertake a research thesis (12 credit hours (Egypt), equivalent to 60 credits (UK)), on which they are required to spend at least one academic year. Students submit their thesis proposal during the first semester after finishing the modules.
