This master's course is designed for those who already hold an undergraduate degree. For this version of the Mental Health Nursing course, you will complete a dissertation on a topic of your choosing.

Registered nurses are skilled healthcare professionals. They can work in a range of healthcare settings.As a mental health nurse, you will provide person-centred holistic care. In doing this, you will work with other healthcare professionals. You will also work in partnership with patients, families, and carers.Our BSc Mental Health Nursing course will prepare you to support patients. These patients may have a range of mental health conditions. These could include:

schizophrenia
mood and personality disorders
post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
learning disabilities
neurodevelopmental conditions
substance misuse

You will learn practical and cognitive skills. These will help you develop into a value based and reflective mental health nurse.When you study mental health nursing with us, your time will be split equally. This will be divided between 50% of your time spent learning on campus and 50% learning on placements.
