Overview
ACE is a highly respected leader within the global autism and research communities. The Autism Studies programme from Griffith University seeks to improve the quality of life for autistic children and adults by supporting them from early childhood through to education and employment. ACE also works collaboratively with the state and federal government Education, Health and Communities portfolios to advance understanding of how the wellbeing of autistic people can be supported at a systemic level.

Professionals with specialised knowledge in providing for the needs of autistic people are in high demand in public and private education sectors. The Graduate Certificate in Autism Studies addresses an area of acute need as determined by the Australian Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs; the Australian Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations; the Queensland Department of Education and Training; and the Queensland Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services.
