Overview

The Environmental Engineering MEng program at Carleton University has a high concentration of accomplished and internationally-recognized researchers, including the Jarislowsky Foundation Research Chair in Water and Global Health. Carleton is also home to a wide assortment of world-class research facilities. As a result, our graduate students gain hands-on research experience while developing state-of-the-art theory.

Our goal is to reduce the impact of our society on our environment. Our programs are offered through the Ottawa-Carleton Institute for Environmental Engineering which allows our graduate students to take courses at both Carleton and the University of Ottawa.

Our location in the nation’s capital allows for proximity to and collaboration with the National Research Council Canada, Natural Resources Canada, Environment Canada, Heritage Conservation Directorate, Canada Green Building Council, Parks Canada, as well as public works and consulting at the municipal, provincial and federal levels.
