Overview
A system-of-systems approach is required for designing new and managing existing infrastructure networks due to their interconnected nature. Understanding the resilience of the built environment against climate change and other external hazards – and how long-term sustainability-driven decision making can assist towards our transition to a net-zero carbon economy – is fundamental towards the safe and efficient functioning of society.
