At the same time, the media is the supreme public arena in which social agendas are debated, the agenda-setters, facilitators, and speakers of what will be debated. Modern journalism played a key role in the establishment of modern society. Broadcasting, especially television, is an indispensable factor in understanding contemporary political, economic, social and cultural phenomena.
Recently, with the development of digital communication network technology that seamlessly connects members of society, such as smart media and social media, the entire society is undergoing fundamental changes. The importance of Communication and media makes this phenomenon one of the most important objects of academic inquiry and education in our time. In fact, communication research and education is one of the fastest and most dynamically growing fields of all social sciences.
Based on theoretical and empirical knowledge about this rapidly growing communication and media phenomenon, the Department of Journalism and Information Sciences at Seoul National University College of Social Sciences leads various communication practices at the peak of historical progress in the reality of our time and promotes the change and development of media. General requirements
- The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Applicants must have score of 387or higher in TEPS or 107 or higher in TOEFL IBT. (scores within 2 years prior to application deadline are accepted)
- Those who pass the document screening are eligible for level 2 exam.
