Overview
The study programme
Computational Science seeks to explain the complex world we live in using technological simulations. By collecting data and creating computer models, computational scientists can make predictions on varying problems such as how to influence the flow of traffic, how an epidemic will spread or the probability of individuals in society becoming addicted to drugs. The curriculum relies heavily on algorithmic-driven procedures, but also involves lots of mathematics and logic.

General requirements
- All students holding an academic Bachelor degree in one of the Sciences or Engineering disciplines may apply for the Master's
- Candidates for the programme should demonstrate sufficient knowledge in mathematics and computing skills and meet with the following requirements before they will be admitted to the programme: basic programming (any language), basic math knowledge in calculus and basic knowledge in probability theory and statistics. These requirements have to be demonstrated by grade transcripts including programming and at least 15EC, calculus, linear algebra, probability theory and statistics
- You have an overall grade point average (GPA) equivalent to at least: 3.0 (American system), 2.1 (a second class upper/division one degree in the British system), C (ECTS-system)
- English language proficiency
