Challenging, Rewarding, and Worth It
Studying engineering at the University of Botswana was tough but rewarding. The programme builds a strong theoretical foundation and really pushes you to think critically and solve problems. I liked how the course challenged me and helped me grow academically and personally. Some lecturers are genuinely passionate and supportive, which makes a big difference. That said, there’s room for improvement especially in hands-on training, modern lab equipment, and stronger links to industry. More practical exposure would better prepare students for the real engineering world. Overall, it was a demanding but valuable experience that shaped me into a resilient and confident engineering graduate.
University of Botswana rev
Really made me the engineer iam today. Full of ups and down but all in all a university that cares about its students and welfare. The lectures, lecturers and courses are overall a good experience
Campus life
The school is situated on the outskirts of town, which can make it challenging for students to engage in a vibrant social life. With limited access to cafes, entertainment venues, and community events nearby, students often find themselves confined to campus activities. While this setting may be ideal for those who prefer a quieter environment focused on academics, it may not suit individuals seeking a more dynamic social experience outside of school.
