You already know what you want!
I didn't know where to go, and I wasn't sure about my career choice. I remember those days when I cried a lot and worried so much. My parents told me to choose what I wanted to study, but I wasn't sure about that. What helped me was that I didn't give up and started to get to know myself better to realize what I'm truly passionate about. And you know what? It worked. I changed my initial career choice (marketing) to a brand new one (Chinese). I found myself highly interested in Chinese culture and history. I'm happy now because I'm about to start my studies very soon, and I feel a lot of motivation and desire that I wasn't feeling back then when I chose marketing. So, my advice is: find your passion, and don't be scared to chase your dreams. Everything will be fine. Don't worry so much and listen to your heart.
NaUKMA review
An extensive program of studies. Very positive organization of student connections and activities.
no real learning, no one listened.
I’m very disappointed with my university in Ukraine. From the beginning, I realized that the education system was outdated and poorly organized. Most professors didn’t care about teaching or students’ progress. Lectures were often useless, and some teachers were even disrespectful. The focus was not on helping students learn, but just on grades, bureaucracy, and appearances. The dean's office was unresponsive - when we raised concerns, no one listened. Despite this, I took responsibility for my future and studied hard on my own. I earned mostly A grades, but that was entirely due to my own dedication, not because I received quality teaching or guidance. The contrast became even clearer during my Erasmus exchange in Spain. There, education felt alive - teachers were engaged, treated us with respect, encouraged participation, and genuinely supported our learning. It was the first time I felt heard and motivated as a student. That experience made me realize how far behind my Ukrainian university is. It still operates in a rigid, Soviet-style system that discourages creativity, critical thinking, and student well-being. I hope the system changes someday, so that future students won’t have to struggle alone like I did.
