History
The history of our University dates back to 1857, when BUEB’s predecessor – the Pest Academy of Commerce – was founded in response to the professional challenges of the era. This institution – expanded in 1899 with the establishment of the Eastern Academy of Commerce – became the first college of commerce in Central Europe, and within it, the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy.
Education
Meanwhile, higher education in another branch of economics began in 1962 with the establishment of the Higher Institute of Finance and Accountancy, which, from 1970, expanded its scope of education as the College of Finance and Accountancy.
In parallel with these developments, the Correspondence School of Foreign Trade was established in 1957 to train highly qualified, multilingual professionals for Hungarian foreign trade; from 1971, it continued its operations under the name College of Foreign Trade.

Overall I am very content I chose this university and if I had to choose again I would pick this one. It helped me network and connect with like-minded people.
