History
The establishment of the University of Primorska in 2003 created an autonomous academic route for the region that intellectuals and the wider coastal community had longed for since the post-war years. From the beginning, UP's goal has been to grow and strive for excellence.
Education
University of Primorska study programs in humanities, social, business, administrative and educational sciences, life and earth sciences, agriculture, forestry and fisheries, tourism, sports, mathematics, statistics, computer science and health care.
Research
UP and the members are active in the field of national research projects in the field of international research work, where they are successful in obtaining grants from European programs and funds. By combining research with education, enrichment of the knowledge base with new research achievements, with tutoring and mentoring and cooperative learning research at the university in its operations incorporated a European strategy in the field of science and higher education.
Career

Realistic
I really liked that the professors were really engaging and they invited guest professors. We had the chance to meet past graduates and listen about their experience. We were introduced to few companies and their work. Something that could be improved is more practical work.
Small town study experience
As a foreign student, it was very easy to adapt, and I have had a very pleasant study experience. All of the professors are very understanding since they are used to foreign students and are always available if there are any problems. Since the university is still pretty young, the classes are not too big, which creates a great community among students. All of the courses are somehow related to each other, and we see correlations through years. When we get a new subjects, they are much easier to understand since we already have the background knowledge because of the previous courses. As we advance to next years of study, the subjects are more specialized and you gain more practical knowledge and skills. The university itself is new and has a modern look. It is also located on the seaside.
Shortly about University of Primorska
Amazing opportunity for personal growth. Professors are skillful English speakers, tolerant and their classes are engaging. Subjects are not hard to learn. The university is very small, since Koper is a very small city but it is worth applying to. Attendance is sometimes crucial to pass a subject. Overall, my study experience at the University of Primorska is a huge and important step in my life that I will always remember.
