History
144 years have passed since Doshisha was founded by one of the foremost educators of the Meiji period, Joseph Hardy Neesima. Immediately after returning to Japan, Neesima founded Doshisha Eigakko (English Academy) in Kyoto.
Education
The purpose of founding Doshisha Academy was not only to equip students with a general knowledge of the English language, but also to cultivate in students virtue, enhance their integrity, and help them discipline their mind. In other words, we have made every effort to produce individuals who are able to put their conscience into practice. Such education can never be achieved only through intellectual education.

Why I love my 1337
I love it, and I love it, here I found the best atmosphere to keep growing up my skills, so organized and open minded students too, and tanks to its system, we have the power to be more valuable software engineers, here we are not studying as the traditional way, but we use peer learning and learning by ourselves too, working on real projects, that lead us into being a fast adaptive developers, now I can learn anything I want and in a fast way, of course with understanding how the things woks like under the hood. Also a lot of students who went out for internships, they found no problem with the companies, but even more, a lot of them turn their contracts from internships into a full time, like 95%, this could explain a lot why our school is the best :)
Solid uni choice
It's a good university compared to others. There's enough space to study and the education is solid. I really like the atmosphere, especially with so many international students around. The teachers are always nice and kind, and they're helpful whenever I have questions.
Enhancing Skills Through Peer-to-Peer Learning
The infrastructure at 1337 is excellent, with well-equipped buildings, labs, and reliable internet. The peer-to-peer pedagogy significantly enhances problem-solving skills and encourages self-reliance. Additionally, the diverse range of projects enables students to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
