Ochanomizu University

Our university was founded in 1875 as Japan's first institution of higher education for women. Over the course of 140 years, the university has produced talented women who are active in diverse fields from education to research and development, industry, government, and the media.

We are equipped with a variety of career support programs such as information education that is necessary in order to be successful in the global arena as well as foreign language education, developmental programs for female leaders and internship programs where students can get hands-on experience in the field of business.In addition, we have a unique, year-long intensive Japanese language and cultural immersion program for international students.
