History
Founded in the spring of 1823 as Washington College (the name was changed in 1845), Trinity was only the second college in Connecticut. Although its earliest heritage was Episcopalian, its principal founder and first president having been the Rt. Rev. Thomas Brownell, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticut.

Student services
Dean of Students Christopher Card, Associate Dean Ann Reuman, and Associate Dean Robert Lukaskiewicz advise students on academic matters, provide general counseling about personal matters not requiring the services of a clinician, assist students with their transitions to college, and handle student discipline.
Housing services
Trinity College strives to ensure that students with disabilities will have the same opportunities to thrive academically and personally in their Trinity experience. Trinity is committed to providing reasonable accommodations to students who are substantially limited by a diagnosed disability.
Library services
The Information Services division is housed in the Raether LITC and includes College and Watkinson Libraries as well as Information Technology Services. As the central research facility of the College, the Raether LITC is a place where students and faculty, collaborating with library and technology staff, come together for the serious work of scholarship.
Medical services
The student Health Center coordinates your medical care and health insurance when you are here on campus. Staff provide primary care for illnesses and prevention services in addition to health education programs.

The Trinity College Rome Campus, established in 1970, offers students an outstanding educational opportunity in the heart of one of the world’s great cities, where glorious treasures and haunting ruins of several magnificent civilizations are stage to a vibrant, modern capital.

Student clubs
Student involvement is an integral part of the Trinity College experience. The Office of Student Activities, Involvement & Leadership (S.A.I.L.) has oversight of more than 140 student-run organizations on campus.
