History
UC Riverside is a proud member of the prestigious University of California system, which this year marks its 150th anniversary. History of high-impact innovation began with the university's earliest days as a Citrus Experiment Station and continues through today's transformative research.
Education
UCR Extension provides professional certificate programs year-round. A professional certificate program is a sequence of courses that provides you with practical instruction to stay current with new developments in your career field, qualify you for a new job, or provides the opportunity for advancement.
All of UCR Extension's academic programs are developed in conjunction with, and may be taught by, UCR faculty, thus ensuring that students receive the same uncompromising standard of excellence upheld by the University.

The Office of Research and Economic Development (RED) works with faculty, schools, and organizations to launch research collaborations, increase federal research funding, facilitate technology commercialization and start-up ventures, and to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

The UCR Library serves as an information commons and intellectual center for the campus and is the nexus for research and study at UCR.Collections include more than 4 million print volumes, more than 1 million e-books, and 143,000 serials, and thousands of multimedia materials.
Medical services
UCR’s Campus Health Center provides convenient, affordable and easily accessible medical care to students. All registered students are eligible to use the center. Students with the UC Student Health Insurance Plan have no out-of-pocket expenses for doctor’s visits. Student’s with private insurance will have to pay upfront for services.
Campus life
Three housing options – Residence Halls, UCR Campus Apartments and Family Housing – provide you with a convenient, student-centered environment to complement university education.
Sports facilities
The UCR Student Recreation Center is a central hub for recreational, intramural and club sports on campus. Work out in our extensive gym, play pick-up basketball, take a group fitness class or go on an adventure with our Outdoor Excursions program. The 80,000 square foot recreational facility is the place for fun and fitness at UCR.
